Open House Anniversary 2014 Flyer (process)

Whats up everyone. I made the Open House flyer again this year. Here is the process on how I made it.
Platforms: Cinema4d and Photoshop

Using Cinema4d, I built the house and then started to layout some comps. I didn't have much time to do a lot, so I just went with my first idea and started to tweak the 'Anniversary" font.

So after I built everything in Cinema4d, I headed on over to photoshop and added the text. I cooled down the shadows and added the sound waves. Also, I 'overlayed' a chip-painted wall texture to make it more interesting.

Here is the final. Thanks.

CRACKED presents Adventures in Jedi School (matte painting assignment)

Hello World Wide Web!!!!! Okay so I failed on doing my weekly blog posts but I guess on the flip side, it is important to never give up. So this weeks post is an assignment (matte painting) I recently did for CRACKED. The series is called Adventures in Jedi School. Check it out the episodes because it's pretty funny.

Click here to watch THE ADVENTURES IN JEDI SCHOOL episodes. Enjoy!

Here are the mattes I did.

My New Years POST - ZBRUSH

Happy 2014 to you all! Now that the holidays are over, I can finally refocus my attention on getting things done.  This year, I started working with zBrush for the first time (I know right, FINALLY!). Anyhow, this is gonna be my new thing for 2014. I think its important to do something new every once in a while. I encourage you to do the same. Cheers!

Here are some beginners sketches I did on ZBrush. I barely learned the software.

World Building - week 6

Hi everyone. Okay so this post is just a place holder for my last week in the World Building seminar with Sean Andrew Murray. I know its been a while since I posted anything. It is gonna be a new years resolution to at least post once a week. So Happy 2014! I'll come back soon. Bless.

World Building - Week 5 - 6

I've been so MIA. Work was horrendous this past week. Also, I've been attending Art Conventions all throughout November. I got to meet and greet a lot of GREAT artist throughout November. I'll do a post on the Conventions I've been to soon.

Here is what I've been building lately. In week 5, we focused on vehicles and in week 6 is about bringing everything we've covered and bringing it all in one piece. Here are some sketches on my ideas. So far, its been a great ride.

This is kind of a long post (bear with me) but I hope you can get the scope of what I'm working on.

Week 5

Here are my posts for week 5 vehicles.

Week 6
Here are some sketches for week 6.
I'm not proud of any of them. =(

Week 3

I'm also backed up with my flora and fauna pieces. Its not really done but here is what I got. My issue with these concepts are that they aren't really authentic enough for my liking. It'd take me weeks to do more studies on creatures and plants that I think would fit best for this world that I have in mind.

Bonus post (I wanted to share)

Yesterday, while I was trying to make concepts for my week 6 assignment, I got too caught up with artists block so I took a step back and did some speed paintings on possible "landmarks". I recorded the process.

World-Building - week 4 - Costumes/Population

Here is week 4 of World Building. Still a work in progress  but I learned a lot doing it. I learned that it takes me FOREVER to come up with a concept. I want to get faster.

Here is the High Priestest. She is one of a group of people of people who is an evolved human. She wears this suit for sacred reasons.

Here is my concept of the soldier.

This is one of the civilians. She is a hunter that lives in the forest.

I don't know where I was going with this one. I was trying to do another hunter but yea. I dont know. I decided to put it up still because you can still see the concept.
